5th Annual Asian and Pacific Islander Festival at the San Diego County Fair* \u2013 Saturday, June 15<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The fifth annual, AWARD WINNING, Asian and Pacific Islander Festival Day at the\u00a0San Diego County Fair<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is coming on opening weekend on Saturday, June 15 at the\u00a0Paddock Stage<\/strong>! The Silk Road team is working with the San Diego County Fair once again to bring the return of this fun, family-friendly event.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>This fun and exciting day will be filled with cultural and traditional acts from our Asian and Pacific Islander communities in San Diego County and we will continue the fair’s theme of being “OZsome<\/strong><\/em>!”<\/p>\n

You can expect traditional and cultural entertainment from 11:30 am-7:45 pm, including lion dances, Kung fu, traditional dance, and other performances representing the Philippines, China, Japan, Vietnam, Korea, India, and more!\u00a0Then at 8:30 pm, we are excited to present our Asian and Pacific Islander Festival headliner: TRIBAL THEORY<\/a><\/strong>!<\/p>\n

Asian food?<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Of course!\u00a017 Hands and Paddoc<\/strong>k Tavern<\/strong>\u00a0will have Asian Beers – you must be over\u00a0<\/span>21 to indulge in our Asian beers – as well as Thai BBQ Chicken Tacos and Green Papaya Slaw.\u00a0\u00a0The Paddock Tavern<\/strong>\u00a0will be serving \u201cBanh Mi\u201d Hand Carved Char Siu Roasted Pork Loin; Pickled Vegetable Slaw (with Sriracha Aioli on a French Roll with Crispy Prawn Crackers); Chilled Soba Noodle Salad; and Grilled Lemongrass Chicken Breast<\/p>\n

Headliner – Tribal Theory\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

We are excited to announce that our headlining act for the Asian Festival Day will be Tribal Theory<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>– they will be performing at 8:30pm at the\u00a0<\/strong>Paddock Stage<\/strong><\/em>!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Tribal Theory of San Diego, California has established themselves as the originals of Urban Reggae music. Formed in 2005, Tribal Theory\u2019s signature is the fusion of their Pacific Island culture with the feel good vibes of Reggae, grittiness of Urban Ska, and the soulful harmonies of R&B.<\/p>\n

\u200bTribal Theory brings that \u201cwest coast cool\u201d vibe all around the world. headlining concerts all across Hawaii, Guam, and the tip of Eastern Asia.<\/p>\n

The band has received several accolades over the years; most notable are 2011 champions of VANS Warped Tour Battle of The Bands and winners of Orange County Mai Tai Rumble 2013. They also received \u201cBest World Music Album of Year 2013\u201d at San Diego Music Awards and returnied in 2017 to receive \u201cBest World Music Artist.”\u00a0 Catch them at 8:30pm on the Paddock Stage.<\/p>\n
