4th Annual Asian Festival Day at the San Diego County Fair* \u2013 Saturday, June 2<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The fourth annual, AWARD WINNING, Asian Festival Day at the\u00a0San Diego County Fair<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is coming on opening weekend on Saturday, June 2 at the\u00a0Paddock Stage<\/strong>! The Silk Road team is working with the San Diego County Fair once again to bring the return of this fun, family-friendly event.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>This fun and exciting day will be filled with cultural and contemporary acts from our Asian and Pacific Islander communities in San Diego County and we will continue the fair\u2019s theme of\u00a0\u201cHow Sweet it is!\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

You can expect art, cultural entertainment from 11:00am \u2013 7:00pm, including lion dances, Kung fu, traditional dance, and other performances representing the Philippines, China, Japan, Vietnam, Korea, India, and more!\u00a0There will also be a cultural exhibition, dances, ikebana, and so much more \u2013 all at the Paddock Stage!\u00a0 Then head on to the Coors Light Rock On Stage for our headlining performers for Asian Festival Day – The Filharmonic<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

Asian food?<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0Of course!\u00a017 Hands and Paddoc<\/strong>k Tavern<\/strong>\u00a0will have Asian Beers \u2013 Shangrila, Tibetan Pale Ale, and Black Yak (You must be over\u00a0<\/span>21 to indulge in our Asian beers!) as well as Thai BBQ Chicken Tacos and Green Papaya Slaw.\u00a0\u00a0The Paddock Tavern<\/strong>\u00a0will be serving \u201cBanh Mi\u201d Hand Carved Char Siu Roasted Pork Loin; Pickled Vegetable Slaw (with Sriracha Aioli on a French Roll with Crispy Prawn Crackers); Chilled Soba Noodle Salad; and Grilled Lemongrass Chicken Breast<\/p>\n

We are excited to announce that our headlining act for the Asian Festival Day will be the Filharmonic<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>– they will be performing at 7:00pm at the\u00a0<\/strong>Coors Light Rock On Stage<\/strong><\/em>!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The Filharmonic, an LA-based a cappella group of Filipino-American youngsters who were featured in NBC\u2019S hit musical competition, The Sing-Off, has much to sing about. The 5-piece vocal group made the semi-finals, joined The Sing-Off national tour, and were featured in the Universal Pictures hit movie, Pitch Perfect 2, setting off a viral sensation after their Late Late Show appearance.<\/p>\n

In 2016, The Filharmonic brings their unique blend of hip hop, pop and 90’S nostalgia to more than 150 college stages nationwide and was named the #1 college booked entertainment group of the year.\u00a0\u00a0They consist of\u00a0vocalists Vj Rosales, Joe Caigoy, Trace Gaynor,\u00a0Vocal Bass Jules Cruz,\u00a0And Beat Boxer\u00a0Niko Del Rey.
