Rendezvous: San Diego Speed Dating Frequently Asked Questions  You’ve got 6 minutes to decide if it’s an “OK” or a “no way”! What is Speed Dating? Speed Dating is a fun and easy way to meet other singles in your community. Throughout the course of the evening, you will go on multiple dates, for approximately six minutes at a time--short enough to decide if there is chemistry, and long enough to see if you want to go on a real date! You will decide whom you would like to meet again on a match sheet, and if that person is interested in you, a match is made and contact details (that you have provided) will be sent to you. This is a great, safe, and easy way to meet other singles in your area! What time does the event begin and end? Registration opens at 7:30 p.m. so grab a drink, get comfortable, and mingle a bit. Dating begins sharply at 7:45 and runs until approximately 9:30 p.m. with a 15-minute break in between, so please be on time. What’s the dress code? You are going to be on multiple first dates, so please dress to impress! Will I meet everyone at the event? You won’t meet everyone at the event, but this only means you will have more time to get to know each person that you do meet. After the event closes, there will be some time to mingle so you can take this time to introduce yourself to someone new. You can pick anyone as a match, even if it’s someone you weren’t on a date with. Isn’t 6 minutes a bit short? You may be surprised at how much you can know a person after 6 minutes. It’s short enough to decide if there is chemistry, and to see whether or not you want to go on a full-length date. Your mission is to find a connection, and six minutes is definitely enough time to see if there are sparks! When do I get my results? Within 48 hours of the event, you will be contacted with your matches via email. Is there an age requirement for this event? As this event is tailored for young professionals, we do have an age requirement: Women must be between 22-35, Men must be between 25-40. How will my matches contact me? When you registered for the event, the preferred method of contact you gave us will be the information we pass on. Who calls who? Don’t be shy; we encourage you to take initiative! After all, you already know the other person is interested in getting to know you better!
